A Simple Cashew Cheese Sauce for Everything

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups soaked raw cashews

  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic

  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast

  • 1 1/2 cups oat milk (I use Malk)

  • 1 jalapeño, chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard

  • Freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Soak the cashews in 4 cups of water for at least 2 hours. After 2 hours, drain the cashews

  2. Once the cashews are done draining, add cashews, garlic, nutritional yeast, oat milk, jalapeño, turmeric, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, dijon mustard, and black pepper to a high powered blender / Nutribullet

  3. Blend until all ingredients come together. If you want a thinner sauce, add a bit more oat milk

  4. Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary

  5. Enjoy over tacos, on your nachos, over pasta, and more!
